1 12 oz. cheese tortellini package (or any kind of tortellini) ▢4 bacon strips ▢3 tsp. minced garlic ▢2 TB all-purpose flour ▢2 cups milk ▢3/4 tsp salt ▢pepper ▢1 tsp dried basil ▢2 cups frozen spinach, chopped ▢3/4 cup mozzarella cheese grated ▢3/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated ▢2 tsp lemon juice


Step - 1

Grate the oven to 350 degrees.  

Add water to a wide pot and bring to a boil. Cook tortellini in accordance with the package's instructions.  

Step - 2

Prepare and chop bacon. Halve the bacon lard in the pan. Cook the garlic for an additional minute or two. Whisk the flour into the pan for one minute. Combine with milk until smooth. Bring the basil, salt, pepper, and lemon juice to a simmer.  

Step - 3

Reintroduce the drained tortellini to the saucepan. Reduce heat to low and stir in the bacon, spinach, and the majority of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Stir in the sauce until thoroughly combined.  

Step - 4

Contribute to a 9×9 or 8×8 dish. The remaining mozzarella, Parmesan should be sprinkled on top.  

Step - 5

Bake the dish while covered with foil for twenty minutes. Bake without the foil and for an additional five minutes.
