How to Make a Rum Rum Rudolph Cocktail

Cranberry spiced syrup: One-cup compressed brown sugar (light, dark, or a combination of the two is acceptable) 1 cup unadulterated, 100 percent cranberry juice 8 cloves, whole Sticks of cinnamon three 2 pods of green cardamom, torn and pulverized There is sufficient syrup for eight beverages. Beverage cocktail: 2 ounces of rum infused with spices 1 ounce cranberry syrup with spices 1/2 ounce liquid of cranberries Lemon juice, half an ounce 3 dashes bitters of citrus 1/2 ounce optional egg white  


Step - 1

In a saucepan, combine sugar, cranberry juice, cinnamon stalks, cloves, and cardamom.  

Cook for 5 minutes over medium-high heat, or until it reaches a simmer. Cover, remove from heat, and infuse for 15 minutes.  

Step - 2

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine rum, spiced cranberry syrup, cranberry juice, lemon juice, bitters, and a sprinkle of salt.   

Step - 3

Shake vigorously for approximately 15 seconds to cool.  

Step - 4

After straining the cocktail into one-half of the cocktail shaker, whisk in the egg white.   

Step - 5

15 seconds later, discard the ice and jiggle the egg white to re-foam. Serve after straining into a chilled coupe tumbler and garnishing.
