1 loaf french bread or brioche cut into 1″ thick slices, then into thirds ▢4 large eggs ▢2/3 cups milk ▢1/2 cup pumpkin puree ▢1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract ▢1 tsp cinnamon ▢1 tsp pumpkin pie spice ▢1/4 cup sugar ▢1 1/2 tsp cinnamon


Step - 1

In a large nonstick skillet preheated to medium heat, melt a small quantity of butter.  

Whisk together the eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice in a small rectangular baking dish.  

Step - 2

After dipping the bread in the mixture and reversing it, set it on the hot skillet. Allow each side to cook for approximately 2 minutes, or until golden brown.  

Step - 3

Meanwhile, combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small rectangular baking dish; set aside.  

Step - 4

Immediately after removing the french toast sticks from the skillet once they are thoroughly cooked, coat them in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve warm, accompanied by buttered pecan nectar or maple syrup.
